She said : ” the celebrated Workers Summit of October, 2023, has now become enshrined into the System, as it has become an anual ecent thus, all hands must be on deck for the continuous successes of the program, going forward.
On the issue of Code of Conduct, and its application in Service, it has always been on the front burner of the Commission’s Blue Print, to update the Workers’ Skills in tandem with the demands of the present 21st Century International Best Practices, r Earlier attempt at this initiative, was botched by saboteurs who did not mean well for the system. But the matter, will be addressed head-on, this time around. The Commission is abreast with all her Statutory Mandates, one of which is, Staff Training and Manpower Development, the Commission is drawing varied staff training programs and workshops which will be presented to the Governor, for consideration and possible approval.

However, the LGSC Boss frowned at the inordinate use of nomenclatures and titles by heads of these associations whose functions and postures are very confrontational and of no added value to the system, and therefore, called for their immediate abrogation. She called for strict staff control; emphatically pointing out that staff associations working outside the confines of the norms and ethos of the Public Service, should not be condoned.

She also condemned the swiftness at which the staff of the commission speaks to the press , warning that, appropriate disciplinary measures would be meted out on erring staff who contravenes the rules, henceforth.
