… Issues quit notice to Uzodimma

From Stanley Uzoaru, Owerri

The Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) has concluded plans to form alliance with the Labour Party (LP), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and other notable parties against the All Progressives Congress(APC), the ruling party in Imo State, if Governor Hope Uzodimma emerges the standard bearer of the party ahead of the November 11 governorship election in the state.

Briefing newsmen at the weekend, National Vice Chairman of ADC, South East, Chilos Godsent, said the alliance tagged, “Rainbow Alliance” would be a ‘ballot revolution” in the state where the electorate would be mobilised in large numbers to vote for their governorship candidate.

He said: “We, therefore, advise Senator Hope Uzodimma and the APC in Imo State to start packing their personal belongings out of the Government House before November 11, 2023 as ADC South East has set up Contact and Mobilisation Committee (CMC) and Political Action Committee (PAC) to commence intensive mobilisation of Imo electorate geared towards the launching of the Rainbow Alliance with other political parties, organizations and blocs, targeted towards sending Uzodimma and APC packing through November 11 ballot revolution.”

While condemning the presidential, national and state assembly elections in the state, which it claimed were marred with irregularities, he urged the people of Mbaitoli and Ikeduru where the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed a rerun election to come out and vote for Chinonso Uba, the party’s candidate.

According to Godsent, ADC was already leading in six wards out of the 12 in the local government area before it was declared inconclusive by INEC.
