The Youth Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State has passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and vowed to mobilise massively for the president, Governor Hope Uzodimma and all APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The resolution was reached at a strategic stakeholder meeting held in Owerri and presided over by the State APC Youth Leader, Comrade Franklin Chukwuemeka Ibeh.

Ibeh said the Imo APC youth structure remained unwaveringly loyal to the leadership of the party and committed to the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He singled out Seyi Tinubu, son of the president, and the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, for commendation, describing them as humble, accessible and genuinely committed to youth welfare.

According to him, their style of youth engagement has bridged the gap between grassroots youth structures and the Federal Government and given young Nigerians a stronger sense of inclusion.

The meeting resolved to embark on extensive grassroots mobilisation across the 27 local government areas and 305 wards of the state to secure total victory for Tinubu, Uzodimma and all APC candidates in 2027.

The youth wing also resolved to strengthen its structures at local government and ward levels and to activate existing party networks to counter misinformation against the APC administration by aggressively communicating government policies, programmes and achievements, especially those affecting young Nigerians.

The stakeholders commended Governor Hope Uzodimma, Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, for his support for youth development, party cohesion and infrastructural revolution in the South-East, noting that he had created an enabling environment for youth participation in governance.

The meeting ended with a renewed commitment to promote youth participation, accountability and grassroots engagement to deliver the South-East for the APC in 2027.
