Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, better known as Rudeboy, has distanced himself from his twin brother Peter Okoye’s stance that his indigenous language is not beneficial to him.

Peter, known musically as Mr P, stirred controversy recently after expressing pride in how fluently his children speak French, while downplaying the importance of those in Nigeria.

Mr P’s comment was met with backlash, with most netizens berating him for attaching monetary importance to his native dialect.

Taking to his official X account on Wednesday, Rudeboy, whose beef with his twin is no secret, declared that he is nothing without the Nigerian culture and language.

He accompanied the post with a video of himself singing in his native tongue while playing a guitar.

“I’m a “nobody”, I repeat!! a nobody!! without the culture, native language, the pride of a Nigerian 100% proudly Nigerian 100% proudly Igbo,” the post reads.
