The Institute of Leadership Coaching and Strategy (ILCS) has appointed Mr. Sunday Adenipekun as Registrar and Chief Executive, effective October 5, and named its pioneer registrar, Mrs. Ifeoma Adeniyi, second vice-president.

The institute also announced the inclusion of three standing committee chairmen in its Governing Council as part of its expansion programme.

In a statement by its Media Consultant, Jide Ologun, ILCS said Adenipekun’s appointment followed a rigorous recruitment process and formal council approval.

Adenipekun is the immediate past Director of the Academy at the Chartered Institute of Directors, Nigeria (CIoD), where he also served as acting Director-General and Chief Executive on several occasions.

“His proven track record in institutional growth and governance in Membership Based Organisations (MBO), strategically positions him to lead the fast-emerging institute into its next phase of development and impact,” the statement said.

According to the institute, he has 38 years of post-qualification experience, including 24 years in not-for-profit membership organisations and 11 years in a Federal Government development finance institution.

His experience includes 16 years at senior management level across CIoD Nigeria, the Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC) and Mission Support Agency International (MISAI).

The council said his background in governance and business membership organisations would support the institute’s growth and urged members to welcome him as he begins his tenure.

It also commended Adeniyi for her contributions since the institute’s inception, saying her appointment as second vice-president was approved at the council meeting on September 30.

The committee chairmen joining the council are Dr. Morounfoluwa Oluwatosin Oyebola of the Membership Experience Committee; Mrs. Abdulwarees-Solanke Monsurat Modupe of the Finance and General-Purpose Committee; and Dr. Kolawole Akintunji Oyeyemi of the Collaboration and Strategy Committee.

In congratulatory letters, President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Olasunkade Azeez, urged the appointees to commit their talents, resources and time to their assignments.

He said they shared responsibility for accelerating the institute’s growth and strengthening its standing among professional bodies in Nigeria and beyond.
