Ikwuano-Obodoukwu unveils new secretariat

The people of Ikwuano-Obodoukwu in Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State recently inaugurated their new secretariat.

Speaking during the ceremony, the president-general of Ikwuano-Obodoukwu Development Union (IODU), Chief Sir Finbar Ogunta, commended all the illustrious sons and daughters of the community who contributed towards the success of the project.

The secretariat was declared open by a renowned philanthropist from Ikwuano-Obodoukwu Autonomous Community, Dr. Onyeka Umeugo.

At the mass before the opening ceremony, Rev. Fr. Joseph Enwere asked God Almighty to take control of all that concerns the leaders and people of Ikwuano-Obodoukwu autonomous community.

Those present included the pioneer PG of IODU, Chief Vitus Uzoh, Eze C.I. Ezika Ezekulie, Comrade Chijioke Ejieji and Eze C.H. Moses Eze, among others.

Highlights of the event were visits to charity homes, cultural displays and empowerment of Ikwuano Youth Council members.
