The family of Ihotu John Rebecca, a Nigerian female footballer who was abducted on the Benin Motorway on Friday, has appealed to Nigerians for aid.

Rebecca, who plays for Pacesetter Queens FC in the NWFL Premiership, was abducted on the Benin motorway on her way home.

According to the latest online reports, her kidnappers are demanding ₦20 million in ransom.

Rebecca played at the highest domestic level for Nigerian women’s football.

The family calls on Football stakeholders, club executives, sponsors, government representatives, sports administrators, and any other kindhearted Nigerian who can lend a hand, and are all urgently urged to do so.
