Tomorrow, history will be made in Adazi Ani Kingdom as a proud son of the soil, a builder of men and a beacon of integrity will ascend the throne of his ancestors as His Royal Highness, Eze Chinechendo the first.
Chief Dr. Chinedu Benson Madubuko, OFR, has lived a life defined by service, honour and excellence.
Long before this crown, he had worn many crowns: as a philanthropist, an entrepreneur, a community leader and a national patriot.
His shining light attracted the national honor of OFR – Officer of the Federal Republic bestowed on him by the Federal Government.
This is a testament to his contributions to nation-building, youth empowerment and human capital development.
Long before now, he lifted the poor, mentored the young and gave back to Adazi Ani without expecting anything in return.
His doors have always been open. His words have always carried wisdom and his life has always preached peace.
As he takes on the sacred mantle of kingship tomorrow, the people do not just celebrate a title, they celebrate a life of purpose that has prepared him for this moment of history.
Adazi Ani has chosen well. Ndi Igbo has chosen well.
A proud son of Adazi Ani in Anaocha LGA, Anambra State, Dr. Madubuko built his foundation on the Igbo values of “Igba Boi” hard work, and community.
He pursued higher education and was later conferred with an honorary doctorate in recognition of his outstanding contributions to entrepreneurship and philanthropy.
Chief Madubuko is a renowned entrepreneur and business leader with interests spanning multiple sectors.
Beyond business, he is known for massive investments in education, health, and youth empowerment. He has sponsored scholarships, built infrastructure, and supported widows and the less privileged across Anambra and beyond.
Dr. Madubuko embodies the core Igbo ideals which includes “Onye aghana nwanne ya” He never abandons his own.
“Ife kwulu ife akwudebe ya” He believes in justice and equity.
“Ilu na Omenani” – He is a strong custodian of culture and tradition
He is humble yet visionary, Firm yet compassionate. A listener, a giver, and a bridge-builder.
He is a strong believer that education helps to restore the dignity of a man.
No wonder, he has awarded scholarships both at secondary schools and university levels to indigent students of the community.
He has tarred virtually all roads in the community with ashphalt and drainages as well as street lights.
HRM (Dr.) Chinedu Benson Madubuko, OFR in the year 2024 significantly made it a year of unprecedented infrastructural transformation under his visionary leadership and kindness in the history of Adazi-Ani.
Eze Dr. Madubuko has provided electricity to the nooks and cranies of the community.
He is a man whose philanthropic disposition knows no bounds as he is committed to the welfare of the downtrodden in the society- the fetchers of water and hewers of wood.
He is a man who abhors in its entirety, the shedding of tears by widows as a result of economic crunch.
He is the father of the fatherless, a committed christian who by his actions and assistance to the church and spreading of the gospel now stand as a pillar and one of the stones upon which the foundation of the church in Adazi-Ani has been built.
A gentleman to the core whose sense of humility and social decorum is ultramelled, the servant of the people whom God has graciously lifted to an Olympian height, as a result of his business acumen, managerial and administrative competence, with outstanding social sagacity.
As the saying goes that there is no hiding place for a golden fish, the exemplary life of HRM (Dr.) Chinedu Benson Madubuko, OFR, has attracted recognition from the wider spectrum of the Nigerian societies. Among these numerous recognitions received are:
• Sun Newspapers Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2021
• National Honour of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) in 2023
• Honorary Doctorate Degree in Entrepreneurship and Humanitarian Services in 2024
He is the rich man admired by the omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent who fends for the poor and is never tired of allieviating them from poverty and economic catastrophe.
From a humble beginning in life and climbing to the thrown of Igwe of Adazi Ani as a result of hardwork and prudence he has continued his care for the community and society at large without contemplating being the Igwe.
As an elder in Adazi-Ani said: “as a student of cultural history of the Igbos,
this is the first time I have seen a community ask a man to come and become their Igwe unanimously, without bitterness rancour or acrimony.
As he is coronated tomorrow as the HRH Igwe Chinaechemdo of Adazi Ani ancient kingdom it is the prayer of the people that he would enjoy long life, the wisdom of the biblical king Solomon and a very peaceful reign.
Long before now, he has given financial support to young men in the community some of whom are now known wealthy importers, merchants and business moguls.
He has been a man who has given a lot to the society without asking for any reward.
These are the qualities that earned him chieftaincy titles and, now, the kingship.
His reign is expected to focus on cultural renaissance, Youth Development, creating opportunities and restoring the dignity to labor, unity and peace, communal development, investments in infrastructure, education, and health.
As it stands, Chief Dr. Chinedu Benson Madubuko, OFR, does not ascend the throne as a stranger. He ascends as a father, a servant, and a leader already tested.
Tomorrow, Adazi Ani Kingdom welcomes a king who has already been reigning in the hearts of his people.
