IGP deploys more armoured vehicles in Kebbi

The Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, has deployed additional Armoured Vehicles(AV) and Special Intervention Squad(SIS) to Kebbi State to consolidate on the successes recorded in surmounting security challenges.

The vehicles and personnel were delivered to Governor Nasir Idris at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi by the Kebbi State  Commissioner of Police, Bello M. Sani.

While speaking at the event, Sani said: “ your Excellency, we are here to present more armoured vehicles issued to the Police in Kebbi from the Force Headquarters, Abuja, under the leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun.

“The IGP deemed it necessary to encourage your efforts in surmounting the security challenges in the state by supplying more armoured vehicles and other operational vehicles to augment successes recorded.”

“Personnel of the Special Intervention Squad are also here on special duties to assist us improve security, and encourage Kebbi State Government to continue to support the Police in their operational duties”, the CP said.

During the inspection of the vehicles, Governor Nasir Idris, expressed appreciation to the IGP, acknowledging that the vehicles can be instantly deployed to flashpoints in the state .

“This is a clear implementation of the order of President Bola  Tinubu to the IG, who is fully on the Job, he has followed the directive of the President”,

“Our government under the charismatic leader, President Tinubu places the security of lives and property of the citizenry, no.1 priority.

“Kebbi has started witnessing peace, all our Security Services are alive to their responsibilities, keep it up.

“We thank them immensely; under whatever emergency we call you, even at 3am, you always respond promptly and positively”,

“My administration will continue to assist all the security agencies to perform optimally”,

“I’ve mandated my Special Adviser on Security, rtd. Col. Danladi Hassan Ribah, to hold consultations with Heads of Security Services to map out strategies on deployment of men to secure places bordering Zamfara and Niger States to provide the necessary conducive environment for our farmers to harvest farm produce”, Idris remarked.
