Igbo youths laud Kalu for rehabilitating Abia schools

From Stanley Uzoaru, Owerri

Igbo youths under the aegis of the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) have commended Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North for his quick response in rehabilitating schools and providing stationeries to schools in his constituency.

President General of the group, Goodluck Ibem, in a statement, yesterday, described the gesture as a good example of transparent leadership, even as he urged other lawmakers to emulate him.

“We commend the senator representing Abia North at the Red Chambers, Orji Uzor Kalu for the massive rehabilitation and construction of classroom blocks, provision of desks and other learning materials in over 78 primary and secondary schools in Abia North.

“The extraordinary feat achieved by Senator Kalu has made it very difficult for hoodlums, miscreants and dissidents to turn the government schools in Abia North to their homes and hideout from where they operate.

“Abia North has taken the centre stage in education as a result of the groundbreaking interventions of a man who understands the true meaning of leadership and representation of his people.

“Before now, Abia North has heard of several other senators but none has been able to do what Senator Orji is currently doing in the zone. His capacity to deliver is unquestionable.

“Children from the zone are not seen hawking goods during school hours because the people’s senator has provided an enabling environment and basic needs for primary and secondary schools in the zone.

“Abia North is, indeed, happy that the senator left his litany of businesses to answer the clarion call of serving his constituency as senator.

“We call on all and sundry to continue supporting Senator Kalu, who has brought outstanding development and progress to their doorstep within a very short period of time of representing them,” Ibem stated.
