Winner, Best Model of the World, Ejiro Joy Akpokinovo has disclosed that she shed tears of joy after she was declared winner, Best Model of the World, 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey.
“I was overwhelmed with joy. I couldn’t believe that I had just won the crown for the Best Model of The World,” Ejiro told Entertainer in a chat.
Best Model of the World grand finale was held on December 3 with models from over 40 countries participating. It is one of the world’s biggest modeling contests for males and females from all over the world. In its last 29 year, it has produced many international models one of whom is Naomi Campbell.
Modelslink, owners of the Best Model of The World franchise in Nigeria has empowered many Nigeria youths in the Modeling / Fashion industry in Nigeria and it has also been a medium for promoting Nigeria’s rich culture and tourism potentials to the outside world. Modelslink in the last six years has used the platform to send Nigerian models to countries like Bulgaria, Turkey, Italy, USA, Egypt, Dubai (UAE) and United Kingdom.
Consequently, Nigeria has the right to host the world this year. Earlier in 2016, Ejiro clinched the crown for Best Model Nigeria 2016.
