Tech entrepreneur and RepairBirds founder, Fidelis Chibueze, has said that his relocation from Nigeria to the United States was driven by a desire for global exposure and skill acquisition, rather than a need to escape. Reflecting on his journey from Nigeria, Chibueze emphasized that his focus is on problem-solving, lifelong learning, and maintaining optimism for Nigeria’s potential despite facing significant entrepreneurial challenges.

Chibueze stressed that Nigeria’s true wealth lies in its people’s resilience. Despite systemic barriers like inadequate funding and weak infrastructure, he said that adversity breeds global innovators. While envisioning Nigeria as a leading tech hub, he urged the government to prioritize digital education, startup funding, and infrastructure.

Chibueze founded RepairBirds to solve the device repair industry’s trust gap. Guided by a “diagnosis before spending” philosophy, it empowers consumers to make informed choices. Regarding AI, he said it will replace tasks rather than people. He encouraged young Africans to embrace AI alongside critical thinking and problem-solving, noting that his ultimate goal is to build solutions that improve lives and challenge broken systems
