Popular Nollywood actress, Calista Okoronkwo has revealed why she doesn’t engage in romance or kiss in movies.
According to the star of Legal Romance, she is not the kind of person that would love to expose her cleavages or butts, or just any part of her body in movies.
She told Saturday Sun: “People ask why I don’t like to kiss in movies. Some even send me text messages, saying ‘Calista you’re so reserved, you don’t like to kiss. You don’t like the part where you expose your body’. For this, some think I am pretending. Yes, I play pretense for a living but when it comes to modesty, it’s something that I can’t pretend about.
“I am a modest person. I am not the kind of person who would love to expose her cleavages or butts, or any part of my body that is supposed to be covered. I am uptight when it comes to that. I think that’s how people perceive me. I don’t kiss or romance in movies. That’s my personality.”
Asked if she still keeps her old friends since attaining fame, the Imo State-born thespian responded positively. She said: “I have a couple of old friends that I still keep or get along with. I am not really a friend-friend kind of person, though I am a friend to lots of people. My circle is small and I don’t just let anybody into my territory. I consider myself a role model and I’ve been able to portray myself in a way that the younger ladies coming up in the industry would borrow a leave from me.”
