Nigerian artist Stanley Omah Didia, often known as Omah Lay, has reacted to his first Grammy nomination.

Omah Lay received his first Grammy nomination for his collaboration with Davido, ‘With You’, which was nominated for Best African Music Performance at the 68th Grammy Awards.

Omah Lay responded to the nomination on his Instagram page, saying he was pleased but doesn’t care about awards.

He, however, said he wants Davido to win the award, describing him as his realest friend in a while.

“I’m excited about this Grammy nomination haha but fr fr I don’t give a sh!t about awards. Yeah but I really want it for OBO! he is the realest friend I’ve had in while, he stood by me during my hardest times,” Omah Lay wrote.

Davido is yet to win a Grammy despite previously receiving four nominations, including two in the Best African Music Performance category, which he has been consistently nominated in since it was introduced in 2023.

The 2026 Grammy is scheduled for February 1, 2026, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, with a global broadcast on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
