Obinna Okolie aka ‘Blinx’ is a South Africa based Nigerian trap rapper, songwriter and producer. The hip hop show stopper who is currently working on his sophomore project, has announced that he will be holding a two day virtual Easter concert. He made the announcement in a video which he posted on his IG stories.
“I want to let all my fans know that I will be performing songs from my debut EP Pain, Suffering & Sacrifice as well as some new unreleased songs,” he revealed.
The 2 day online concert will be held on his IG live on Easter Sunday and Monday being April 17 & 18 respectively. Blinx also revealed that he is hoping to have all the featured artistes on the project perform with him too.
“This is something I want to do so my fans can have something to ruminate on while they await my next project. I want them to have a taste of what is coming because we have switched things up this time,” Obi said.
Blinx says his plan to be more consistent hasn’t changed, which is why he will be releasing two projects this year, a collaborative EP with creative partner Doe Bills and his first studio album.
“After the release of my debut EP P.S.S I wanted to express myself in a form unique only to me so that anyone who hears it will easily recognize it as mine”. These days everyone wants to jump on a trend or viral content and they forget that trends will fade and be replaced by new trends”
“When you make music that reflects you, it makes it easier to stay in your own creative lane, a niche you can call your own without sounding like anyone else, and yet be able to express your versatility.” BLINX explained.
“I chose music as a career because of my passion for the art, not for fame and the bright lights, but if it comes I definitely won’t say no. I just want to make music that will appeal to all ages, millennials, gen Z and older folks, and at the same time also be able to earn substantial income off my craft to sustain myself and also pay my bills,”he stated.
