A songwriter’s life is similar to that of a college student in that there is a lot of partying, but there is also a lot of studying to learn how to write decent songs. Quincy Chukwuebuka Opara also called Badman Q has turned his ideas into songs over the years because he believed he had a lot to learn and a lot to accomplish. He insisted that there was no substitute for hard work in this field and that sometimes they are motivated by fame and glitter. He has created songs for numerous A-list musicians in the business and worked as a songwriter for the Mavins.
Badman Q intends to work closely with the most prominent musicians both domestically and abroad. As a result, he wants to construct a music school where children may learn music and develop their musical talents. He aspires to take home numerous trophies for his music, including a Grammy. In addition to music, he wants to broaden his entertainment horizons. As a result, he believes that finding the enormous money to compete in an already crowded market is one of the major hurdles each aspiring artist must overcome. This is because the industry is extremely competitive both monetarily and in terms of skill.
On the other hand, he informed us that there is a lot of rejection in this industry when asked if he had ever felt any sort of disillusionment concerning his career as a song artist. The artist, the producer, and the label all have to decide whether they like a song before it even reaches the listeners. Any door could close on it, and when it does, it’s a serious ego blow.
“I can write dozens of songs in a day pretty easily, but I have a ton of songs that have never been released”. he declared. However, he claims that in addition to commercials, television intros, he takes cues from having to listen to all varieties of music. Badman Q is always on the lookout for themes or buzzwords, and if he comes across something that would work as a song lyric or tagline, he quickly notes it down or records something.
“When I write a song, I sometimes have an artist in sight, but the majority of the time, I’m simply letting my creativeness flow. After the song is completed, I listen to it and think, “Yeah, this would be remarkable for this artist,” he said smiling.
