The theme and nominees for this year’s edition of Humour Awards have been unveiled.
According to the organisers, Humour Awards is one of the biggest comedy awards in Africa, as the 1st and 2nd editions were well attended by popular comedians and entertainment bigwigs in Nigeria.
Though, the date for this year’s awards is yet to be announced, organisers have revealed ‘Nothing is Impossible’ as its theme.
The awards’ convener, Uche Dominion, said Nigeria is going to witness a comedy revolution with Humour Awards. “I have been part of comedy from the days of sitcoms, stand up and content creation. This can be attributed to skit makers – individuals who create and share short comedy videos on various social media platforms. These skit makers have not only captured the attention of millions of Nigerians, but have also gained international recognition for their unique style of humour and storytelling.”
