The undercard for the monumental heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is beginning to take shape, with a blockbuster showdown between Olympic bronze medallist Frazer Clarke and former world champion Joseph Parker reportedly in the works.
The highly-anticipated, globally broadcast Netflix event is scheduled for Friday, December 11, at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. With all 80,000 tickets selling out in under an hour, fans have been eagerly awaiting official confirmation of the supporting bouts.
The addition of Clarke versus Parker would inject significant heavyweight pedigree into a night that is already poised to be one of the biggest in British boxing history.
Clarke, 35, returned to the win column in August with a victory over Lamah Griggs and is now looking for a major step up in competition to propel him toward title contention. Last week, the Burton-born heavyweight confirmed that an offer to fight the seasoned New Zealander had been presented to him and enthusiastically accepted on his end.
“There’s a couple of names being floated along and thrown my way. Joseph Parker’s one of them. And that’s something that I said yes to,” he revealed on the Corner Talk podcast.
For Parker, 34, the bout would mark a crucial return to the ring following a turbulent period in his professional career. The former WBO heavyweight champion has been sidelined since it was revealed he tested positive for a banned substance around the time of his TKO defeat to Fabio Wardley in October 2025.

With his suspension now officially lifted, Parker is eligible to compete and will be eager to remind the boxing world of the stellar form that previously saw him secure impressive back-to-back victories over top contenders like Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder.
Adding an extra layer of intrigue to the potential matchup is the bitter history between the two men. Back in 2010, Clarke and Parker locked horns in the amateur ranks, with Parker narrowly edging out a split-decision victory. It’s a defeat that has lingered in Clarke’s memory, providing him with a powerful sense of unfinished business heading into the professional ranks.
“He’s got one over me in the amateurs,” Clarke said. “He won on a split. I think I blew a gasket. I was young, and he was young as well, but he was more of an athlete than I was back then, and it’s a close fight. I’ve got it on the phone. That fight, I need to get one back.”
While the main event will see Fury and Joshua finally settle their long-standing domestic rivalry for the vacant WBA “super” heavyweight title, the undercard has been the subject of rampant speculation. Promoters are evidently aiming to stack the deck for the global audience.
Alongside the potential Clarke-Parker bout, rumours continue to circulate regarding other high-profile matchups, including a potential showdown between Deontay Wilder and Jai Opetaia, as well as a clash featuring Manny Pacquiao and Joe Cordina.
