For many Nigerians, international travel has long been seen as a privilege reserved for the wealthy or the well-connected. But for Vincent Meseko, CEO of Max Legend Concept Limited, known for Max Legend Travels, that perception is outdated and unfair.
In his words, “Travel is no longer a luxury. It is a necessity for growth, and every Nigerian deserves the chance to see the world, whether for business, leisure, studies, or family.”
Over the last three years, Meseko been reshaping the narrative of Nigerian travel from visa assistance to flight bookings, hotel reservations, and tailored tour packages. Not limited to popular destinations but other places like Italy, Norway, Romania, Luxembourg, Belarus even Kazakhstan, Max Legend Travels has become a lifeline for thousands of first-time travelers who once believed international travel was beyond their reach.
“In just three years of helping clients plan their journeys, I’ve seen a steady increase in first-time travelers, over 60 percent of my clients are people who once thought international travel was out of their reach,” he said.
“With the right guidance, they made it happen. Some went for studies, others for work, and many just wanted to see the world. The joy on their faces when they return and tell me their stories, that is what drives me.”
Meseko’s passion for travel solutions is deeply personal. A former professional footballer, he had experienced the complexities of visas, ticketing, and cross-border logistics firsthand. That frustration inspired his journey into travel consulting.
“When I stopped playing football, I knew I wanted to help others avoid the struggles I faced. Nigerians are adventurous and hardworking, but too many are discouraged. I decided to change that.”
Today, Max Legend Travels has offices in Nigeria and China, and its network stretches across major travel hubs. The company is known for its transparency, a trait that Meseko insists is non-negotiable. “When people trust you with their travel, they’re trusting you with their dreams,” he explained.
“That’s why I insist on honesty in every transaction. That is what makes us different.”
Beyond business, Meseko sees travel as a tool for empowerment. “When a client comes back from their first trip abroad, they return with a new mindset. They see the world differently, and they begin to dream bigger. That’s the real reward. Travel transforms people, and by extension, it transforms nations.”
The demand for international travel is rising sharply in Nigeria, especially in the post-pandemic era. Families want vacations, students seek education abroad, and professionals are chasing business opportunities worldwide. But with this surge comes the need for guidance. Meseko believes this is where trusted travel companies like his must step in.
“If you don’t have the right consultant, you will waste time, money, and energy. Nigerians need partners who understand the system and can make the process stress-free. That’s why we exist.”
Asked about his long-term vision, Meseko concludes: “I want to see a Nigeria where travel is as common as buying a bus ticket. I want young people to know they can sit on a flight to London, Dubai, or Beijing without it feeling like climbing a mountain. With proper planning and support, it is possible.”
