How many true valued people do you have?

In the age of everything going south globally, as North Americans are wont to say, it has become a life imperative to pay attention to even aspects we hitherto overlooked. What valuable things do you daily contribute to society or, to put it differently, how valued are you to humanity? Even if you aren’t, how many valued people do you have? And, while you are at that, how many in this qualitative demographic are true, having been tested or tried and not found wanting?

The foregoing constitute a battery that human beings must field -if not immediately, then certainly later. Note though that while it is good for man to be good to fellow man, that however is neither a guarantee of earthly success nor a criterion for heavenly blessing. That means, man being good to man is a great lifestyle but it is no assurance man shall reward that one good turn with a deserved other nor is it a condition set by God to bless man. Life is not wired like mathematics: you don’t arrive at a constant destination because you followed a given route.

Never forget to remember that clincher always. Lead and live a good life but understand that both during and after, such goodness may not be added advantage to a goodly number of its adherents. I concede that that is not a good thing to say but it would be bad to not say it. It is one more truth that not only sets you free but also offers you plus including a certain lingering sweetness in your innerman.

If that argument is too technical for you, please jump to the next paragraph and read on. Me like this (as we say in Nigeria) I cannot help you. And, I cannot come and kill myself explaining something that I personally don’t understand or like in full. I hope you don’t in the process miss to glean yet another great truth therefrom; namely, that man cannot enlighten the eyes of understanding of another man!

Let’s run back to winning ways. Just as Christians who know never argue about the uselessness of works but faith in the salvation plan of God, mankind should realise that not being true or not adding value to others does not mean one won’t have true valued people in one’s life. Conversely, as alluded to above, being true and an increaser of value is no confirmation your life shall be blessed with people of like virtues. The point I have laboured to make all along now made, can we now please proceed in peace?

Still, even if you can’t, always be true and always add value. Always love and always help even those who don’t deserve or want it. Always celebrate everyone, always don’t mock anyone. Always give of yourself, as much as it lies in your power and even beyond, always serve others first; always do good even if it seems silly and thankless and unprofitable.

Never jump on board the bandwagon of judgementalism, righteous indignation and needless debates. Never lose your cool in spite of and despite the noisy storms that threaten to knock you off the stage of life. Never contemplate to let alone actually move over to the side of satanic doers no matter how much they seem to succeed -whatever that means. And, never forget that darkness is only for fools who prefer quick fixes whereas light is for the wise in God.

At this juncture, there’s another angle you should take note of. Remaining true and valueful won’t stop you from being forsaken and hated to the extent that no man goes through you. In fact, things might even get far worse. Notwithstanding, remain the son or daughter of God that you are: don’t change.

The devil offers nothing apart from transient enjoyment that culminates in eternal damnation. The devil is the extreme opposite of God. He dwells in darkness and death and hate while our Father only offers light and life and love. No sane person follows the devil who gifts one but destroys and steals and destroys the other nine.

God is both the truth and the value. His is the preferred side; no good second; no alternative; no debate. In all you do to spread truth and value, ensure to remain on the side of God. He is the best bet, the last card that cannot fail.

He teaches you truth and value and watches over as you rise and fall and rise in life and rise forever in the after life. God is the One we should trust. He brought us here and knows exactly whither next. Brother Jesus, our Saviour, who should know, tells us that our Father has arranged for us a house with many mansions!

Now that you have come to the fundamental understanding of how these things work, can we make to round off? After falling in line and on the same page with the Father of truth and value, you can pray for and receive people who shall be true and shall add value to you here on earth. Spiritually, you have Jesus, man’s only Intercessor. Physically, you need people not as intercessors -since no man can play that Jesus-customised role for another- but as supporters through life.

They can be priests but not necessarily and not only. They can be connected to you by blood or not. They can be your or opposite gender, older or younger, of your race or another. Today, once you come into self awareness, get yourself several people who can always be true and always add value to you even when you are finished and down and out.

By the way, several means a few. You don’t need nor can you even find many of them. These are the scarcest people on the surface of the earth. They are those the Bible has in mind when it says that one shall chase a thousand and two, 10,000.

Glorrrrrrrrrrrrrry! Don’t be in haste to pick this company because a wrong choice can prove deadly and too late. Don’t choose the way Gideon did. Rather, take your time, prayerfully consider from the shortlist of people still standing in your present despite your past failings and failures and scandals.

Any from these special breeds qualifies, as long as excluding the one who once only came back to apologise. Such a one can suffer a relapse. Your future is not for people who only managed to scrape through the integrity test of your life history. Be warned: the devil and his agents can never be born again no matter how many times they confessed in tears.

Lock the gates of your privacy so securely to forestall had I known. I don’t want to hear stories that touch. Drive out idiots who only came to the world to rehearse their role in hell as kiss and tellers, as gang liars, as traitors of the dead, etc. Your life needs only people who are like Jesus: lovers who never condemn nor are desperate to look good in the eyes of the world.

People who shall stand through anything with you. People who shan’t enjoy with you today and tomorrow join the enemy against you. People who shall defend you publicly and if need be pull your ears in private. People who shall never abandon you even in death.
