An Onitsha-based businessman whose wife was delivered of a set of quintuplets, Mr Tochukwu Amaechi, has appealed to the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, to come to his aid.

Amaechi, who hails from Oraifite community in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of the state, told Saturday Sun that his wife, Chidimma, was delivered of the babies – three males and two females – on March 29 2023 at Life International Hospital, Awka and that he needed financial help to clear his bills.

He said that already, the president-general of his community, Sir Vin Dike, some groups from his community and other good spirited individuals from different places had supported him but noted that the bills were still running in millions.

“The kids were kept in the incubator for over two weeks but they have been moved from that one to another machine where they’re being monitored. “Apart from the drugs that I bought; there’s the one I bought which cost N950,000. Those drugs were placed in their mouths after their birth. The operation was N400,000 and then, there is the bill of over N1.3 million for my wife alone.
