It is unquestionable that Nigerian women know how to do effizi and have fantastic dress sense. They simply love to dress well and stand out.

Those of them that can afford wearable international fashion items patronise brands like Louis Vuitton, Dorothy Perkins, Prada and Channel, among others.

However, a growing number of Nigerian designers have started to benchmerk their creative work against the international brands, to give Nigerian fashion forward women who understand the essence of style, homegrown collections that make the kind of visual impact the desire. One of such is Funmilola Oluwajuwonlo Oduronbi, who ran away from Mass Communication to follow her passion in fashion.

With a degree in Mass Communication from Babcock University (2013) and Master’s in Strategic Marketing Communications from The University of Greenwich in United Kingdom (2016), Oduronbi followed her instinct to Artmonde Design School, to study fashion designing. Today, her brand, Atoke Atelier, is gaining recognition because it pays attention to details and gives women the look and feel of international fashion items.
