After much controversies surrounding the takeoff of the Centenary City, Abuja, Federal Government has finally approved the development of the free trade zone to the extent that the total cost of the residential portion is N3,488,000,000.

Speaking at the groundbreaking of the estate, the chairman of Property World Africa Network (PWAN), Dr Augustine Onwumere advised prospective buyers to take advantage of the entry selling price of 87.2 million per plot because after a month the price would go up.
“At this point, I want to advise our prospective clients to take advantage of our entry selling price of 87.2 million and come home to luxury living. But if you hesitate, one month from now, the entry cost for 4 bedroom terrasses duplex plus BQ would have expired. In that case, you will have to pay more than that for you to become a proud owner of the same 4-bedroom terrasses duplex plus BQ” he said, adding that the property firm would accept a 10 per cent down payment from any client who wants to subscribe to the MAXGROVE home ownership scheme” he said,

MaxGrove Estate is a portion of Centenary City which is going to house 40 homes.

“Together with the co-operation of the management of MaxGrove, there would be some development of infrastructure within the shortest possible time on this project. So, we are expecting quick delivery of infrastructure” the chairman noted.

However, the Managing Director of the zone, Mr Okechukwu Odenigwe said that the Centenary City was conceived the same time with Eko Atlantic in Lagos. It is a legacy project to mark the 100-year anniversary of Nigeria by January 1, 2014, during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.

“The city will have a mix-use urban centre, a central business district, a financial centre, a museum and cultural centre to promote African and global arts; world-class hotels, Grade A offices, residential districts; an 18-hole golf course, polo and country club, an international convention centre, sports and leisure facilities, a safari park, educational institutions, healthcare, and community amenities” Odenigwe, said.
