The of Nigeria’s finest boxers, Herbie Hide and Bash Ali would the ringside guests at the King of the Ring 2 boxing contests slated for the Eko Club, Surulere, Lagos.
Hide, Nigerian born former British WBO Heavyweight champion and Bash Ali, a former WBF World Cruiserweight champions are expected to spice up the show alongside Timi Dakolo, Jaywon, B-Tone, C-Prince and CDQ, all billed to entertain fans.
Ten bouts are lined up with vacant World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa Super Flyweight title at stake between England based Pakistani fighter, Tasif Khan and Ghana’s Gabriel Laryea.
In the undercards are Nigeria UK based Super Middleweight Ezra Arenyeka vs Frank Dodzi of Ghana, Light Heavyweight Victor Beneth vs Joseph Tetteh of Ghana, Super Lightweight Temirzhan Baimolda of Kazakhstan vs Waliu Arogundade of Nigeria, Female Bantamweight contest between Youth Olympics Silver medalist, Adijat Gbadamosi (6-0-0) vs Taiye Kodjo while the grudge fight is between Agege based Warriors, Oluwasegun ‘Bouncing’ Mustapha and Hammed ‘Eshe’ Ganiyu. There also are four other bouts.
The King of the Ring 2 is Monarch’s year ending show that marries Boxing and Music. It was earlier billed to hold in Ghana but the CEO of Monarch Events and Promotions, Prince Stanley Williams decided to bring it home and to the prestigious Eko Club at Bode Thomas Surulere.
King of the Ring 1 held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Landmark Event Centre, Lekki Lagos with three titled bouts and since then Monarch has held several other big and small boxing events.
