HFN Celebrates Members Recognised at the 12th Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Awards

Nigeria’s private healthcare sector delivered a strong showing at the 12th Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award (NHEA) 2026, with members of the Healthcare Federation of Nigeria (HFN) earning multiple honours and nominations across key categories that recognise excellence, innovation and leadership in healthcare delivery.

The Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award (NHEA) has, for over a decade, served as one of the country’s foremost platforms for recognising individuals and organisations whose innovation, leadership and commitment to quality have advanced healthcare delivery across Nigeria.

The 12th edition, themed “Innovation, Local Manufacturing and Digital Transformation in Healthcare,” celebrated outstanding achievements across the healthcare value chain, bringing together leading public and private sector stakeholders committed to strengthening the nation’s health system.

This year’s edition saw HFN members recognised across several categories, reflecting the breadth of expertise and innovation represented within the Federation. Among the distinguished recognitions were Dr. Ladi Awosika, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his decades of leadership and contributions to Nigeria’s healthcare sector, and Sir Ike Onyechi, Founder, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Pharmacy & Stores Ltd., who was also honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding service and leadership.

HFN also congratulates member organisations that emerged as winners across key award categories, including Iwosan Lagoon Hospitals, which was named Private Tertiary Healthcare Facility of the Year; R-Jolad Hospital, Private Secondary Healthcare Facility of the Year; Cerba Lancet Nigeria, Laboratory Service Provider of the Year; Bridge Clinic, IVF Service Provider of the Year; JNC International Ltd., Biomedical Engineering Service Company of the Year; and Alpha Pharmacy Ltd., Pharmaceutical Retail Outlet of the Year. These recognitions reflect the commitment of HFN members to delivering excellence, innovation and quality across Nigeria’s healthcare value chain.

HFN recognises member organisations that partnered with NHEA 2026 to advance excellence across Nigeria’s healthcare sector. PharmAccess sponsored the Most Active Facility on the SafeCare Quality Platform awards for both the Public and Private categories, while DCL Laboratory Products Ltd. sponsored the Laboratory Innovation and Quality Improvement Award and Laboratory Professional of the Year Award. Their support reflects a shared commitment to promoting quality improvement, professional excellence and innovation across Nigeria’s healthcare ecosystem.

Beyond the honours, HFN is equally proud of the many member organisations whose outstanding work earned nominations across a wide range of categories at this year’s awards. Their nominations reflect the depth of expertise, innovation and commitment to quality represented across HFN’s membership and underscore the vital role of the private sector in advancing healthcare delivery in Nigeria.

Among the nominated HFN members were Duchess International Hospital, Evercare Hospital, Lily Hospitals, Regions Healthcare Hospital, AXA Mansard Health, Bastion Health Limited HMO, Leadway Health Limited, EHA Clinics, Bridge Clinic, NISA Premier Hospital, St. Nicholas Hospital, iCare Family Vision Centre, Lakeshore Cancer Centre, Marcelle Ruth Cancer Centre & Specialist Hospital, Medserve-LUTH Cancer Centre, St. Joseph’s Physiotherapy Clinic, Redeemer’s Health Village, EL Lab Medical & Diagnostic Centre, Echolab Services Ltd., Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries, Juhel Nigeria Limited and Drugstoc Limited.

HFN commends each of these organisations for earning national recognition and applauds their continued pursuit of excellence in healthcare delivery, innovation and patient care. The HFN President and Country Director of PharmAccess, Njide Ndili delivered a goodwill message at the event commending the efforts of NHEA for creating a credible platform that recognises and celebrates outstanding individuals and organisations whose innovation, leadership and commitment to quality continue to advance healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
