Moses Adekoyejo Majekodunmi Foundation (MAMF), in collaboration with St. Nicholas Hospital, is set to hold its biennial ‘August event this week to seek ways of curbing deficiencies in the Nigerian healthcare system.
Executive Director of MAMF, Bolaji Fati, disclosed to newsmen during a press conference on Monday. Fati said the foundation’s main objective is aimed at fulfilling its promise to deliver sustainable interventions in the areas of healthcare and education.
According to her, the theme of the event is “Nigeria Healthcare System: The Past, Present and the Future; Celebrating the legacy of Moses Majekodunmi.”
The event will also celebrate the international accreditation of St. Nicholas Hospital.
Fati added that the foundation is prominent for its achievements in both medical and health sectors. Some achievements as highlighted include; scholarships for medical students, communal outreach and sensitisation in Lagos and Ogun states, out-of-school programmes, donations to schools, among others.
The executive director said the foundation is working in collaboration with government institutions to achieve its goals.
Clinical Director of St. Nicholas, Ebun Bamgboye, said the focal point of the event will be to provide intervention spanning across healthcare and education to create sustainable solutions.
Under the chairmanship of former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido, the event promises to host dignitaries and seasoned experts of various fields in medicine and education to share their insight on various issues that affect the society.
