A group, Arise Nigeria Youths Movement (ANYM), has said it is wrong for Igbos to feel unconcerned while other parts of the country are protesting the hardship ravaging the Nigerian nation.

ANYM said Igbos may not be taking the right path if she failed to join other ethnic groups in Nigeria to protest the current hardship in the country.

Leader of ANYM, Henry Eze who stated these while speaking in Aba, Abia State, said the Igbo nation, by not participating in the protest, should not be sending a message of acceptance to the present happenings in the country.

“The Igbo should not make the world believe that they are comfortable with what is happening in the country today.

“Even if the Igbo is not participating in the protest, they should at least condemn the evil that is happening in the country today; protesting does not mean they should carry placards and march on the streets and cause problem.

“It is wrong for the Igbo to be saying they are giving someone their total support for eight years when they are suffering, it’s not right.”

Eze said the narrative being giving that the “Igbo are not part of it, the Hausa and Yoruba should go and suffer it should not be. This is tragedy that befalls the nation and everybody should be involved in the protest.”

Going philosophical, the ANYM leader said, “The person that is laughing at his brother while he is crying should know that one day the thing that made his brother to cry, will come to him.”

Eze said since everybody in the country is bearing the brunt of the hardship, the Igbo should not feel indifferent.
