Inter Miami co-owner, David Beckham has heaped praises on club captain, Lionel Messi, who clocked 37 today.
Beckham rekindled debates about football’s greatest player with his Facebook post celebrating Messi.
Sharing a photo of himself with the diminutive Argentine on Monday, the Englishman wrote, “Happy birthday to the greatest. Happy Birthday my friend. @leomessi @intermiamicf”.
Born in Rosario, Argentina on June 24, 1987, Messi joined American club, Inter Miami in July 2023 under Beckham’s heavy influence.
The eighth-time Ballon d’Or winner played two seasons at French side Paris Saint-Germain after his legendary 17 seasons at Spanish giants Barcelona, setting a club record of 778 appearances and scoring a jaw-dropping 672 goals.
