The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sylvanus Namang, has been killed.

Namang was reportedly gunned down on Saturday in Pankshin town of Pankshin local government area of Plateau State.

APC chairman Rufus Bature, who confirmed the incident to our correspondent in a telephone interview, said the APC scribe died after he was shot by the gunmen.

The APC chairman described Namang as a dependable ally, and deeply committed to the development of the party at the grassroots and state levels, adding that the party is preparing a statement regarding the circumstances surrounding his death.

Daily Sun gathered that Namang was killed outside his hotel room around 7:30 pm in the area where the gunmen opened fire on him.

It was gathered that the deceased had left home on Saturday to attend a burial in Pankshin where his life was suddenly cut off.
