Group redefines leadership for regional economic growth, development

By Gbemisola Akinola

Leadership and management of public resources would be the centre of discourse at The Peak Performer (TPP) fest while performing individuals would be celebrated to perform better for Nigeria and Africa economic growth and development.

The event will be held on November 17th and 18th and feature the Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria, Hadiza Malaoui, and the First Lady of Kwara State, Olufolake Abdulrazaq, among others, who will share their insights.

With the theme: ‘Powering People, Shaping Leaders and Sustaining Legacy with 21st Century Intelligence”, the  convener, Dr. Abiola Salami said the fest will focus on rewriting the script of leadership by coaching emerging leaders to develop grit, empower women in leadership to overcome self-doubt, and equipping top leaders with the discipline to lead powerfully while maintaining inner alignment.

Outlining the festival’s three core frameworks that define its leadership philosophy, Salami said the next generation of African leaders must not only dream, but must be disciplined.

“Our mission is not just to train leaders in the short term but to heal them, equip them, and sustain them. In today’s world, intelligence is no longer just about Intelligence Quotient but it’s about all round intelligence.

TPP chairman, Yinka Adebayo, affirmed that “leadership is no longer about position but, about personal mastery. Across the Emerging Leaders’ Summit, the Women in Leadership Dinner, the CEO Forum, and TPP Awards, we will build and celebrate excellent leadership performance. Each experience within the fest has been deliberately designed to provoke reflection, challenge mediocrity, and awaken courage at every leadership level from the C-suite to the front line.”

Victoria Ajayi, Group Managing Director/CEO of TVC Communications, added that the program aligns with TVC’s mission to use media as a force for national development and human transformation. According to her, the media support stems from the gospel of leadership herald. “We believe in people, and building a leadership culture matters because we work with leaders.”
