A socio-political group, Ashade Grassroots Movement (AGM) has called for good governance  in the rural areas.

The call was made during the first annual Ramadan lecture organised  by the group at Iworo Ajido, Olorunda LCDA, Lagos State.

In attendance were the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development,  Alhaji Abubakar Mobolaji Ogunlende, Pioneer of the AGM, Abdusalam Ashade, Oniworo of Iworo, Oba Oladele Kosoko Ogundeyi and other dignitaries.

In his address, Alhaji Ogunlende called on the Muslim faithful  to be their brothers’ keeper by showing love. He prayed that in the spirit of Ramadan, the people in the Badagry Division would  show exemplary love.

He called on the youths to come out of their comfort zone and take the bull by the horns by engaging in wholesome activities that would bring out the best in them.

He commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his visionary  leadership in the state, which he said has resulted in the development of the state.

While commending the AGM for organising the lecture in Badagry, the Commissioner assured them of his support  at all times.
