A grandmother, Binta Malam Danladi was yesterday killed while 13 others have been missing after gunmen invaded Bauda community, Maro Ward in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State yesterday.
An unofficial source in the area told Daily Sun that the late grandmother was murdered while she was protecting her grandson when the criminal elements invaded the village.
This was happening barely 48 hours after a similar attack was carried out in Gefe Community of Kallah Ward in the same LGA, where village head and one other person were killed.
According to the source, “Again Bauda community, under Maro Ward, Kajuru LGA in Kaduna state, came under attack in the earliest hours of Sunday.
“The attack occurred around 6:00 a.m. as the villagers were preparing to go to their worship centres
“A woman, Mrs. Binta Malam Danladi, lost her life in this senseless act of violence. She was shot while trying to protect her grandson, who was also badly injured in the attack.
“The fear and chaos have driven many to flee to unknown destinations, desperately seeking safety.
“We are crying out for help from anyone who can assist in this time of need. Our community is suffering and we desperately need God’s intervention.
“Oh God, please help us.Protect us and bring peace to our land”, the source prayed.
Meanwhile both the Kaduna State Police Command and the State’s Ministry for Internal Security and Home Affairs are yet to make statement about the development.
