In the wake of the commencement of construction for flyover and underpass projects in Lafia, Nasarawa State, spearheaded by Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, criticisms from certain quarters, particularly the opposition People’s Democratic Party, have emerged.
However, Hon. Peter Ahemba, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor in a statement on Friday asserts that such criticisms stem from ignorance regarding the essential components of modern urban infrastructure.
According to Ahemba, flyovers and underpasses play a crucial role in modernizing urban infrastructure, especially in state capitals where efficient traffic management is paramount for economic development and citizens’ quality of life.
