Prominent Delta State indigenes have continued to pay homage to former governor, Chief James Ibori, at his country home in Oghara, Ethiope East Local Government Area, since his return from London, after serving his jail term.
Latest among the visitors yesterday were the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, and his predecessor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.
Uduaghan arrived the Ibori villa in Oghara at about 3:30pm and was later joined by Governor Okowa at about 4:15pm.
However, journalists were restricted from gaining access to the former governor’s residence, leaving them guessing why Uduaghan and Okowa would visit at the same time.
On what transpired inside, a reliable source said: “I was there and I can boldly tell you that there was no special meeting held for the governor and Uduaghan. They were all there for private visits.”
As at the time of filling this report at about 6pm, the governor’s entourage was still at Oghara.
Other callers at Oghara yesterday were the Delta State deputy governor, Kingsley Otuaro, Senator James Manager, former deputy governor to Ibori, Benjamin Elue and Professor Godini Darah.
