Newly appointed Commissioner of Police in Gombe State, Olukolu T. Shina, has vowed to sustain as well as strive to improve upon the successes recorded by his predecessor in terms of service delivery.
CP Shina made the vow in a statement issued to journalists, on Wednesday.
He assured the state government, critical stakeholders and the people of the state of the command’s readiness to implement the mandate of the Inspector General Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris towards improved service delivery driven by community policing principles predicated on human rights.
The police commissioner pledged to carry out his responsibilities devoid of corrupt tendencies.
He, however, appealed to the people of the state to assist the police with genuine and useful information at all times, stressing that the business of security is a collective responsibility.
