According to the government the project which was awarded to Jidadu Ventures Limited, a company that specializes in water engineering, management, and other construction works, is to ensure an uninterrupted water supply across the Gombe metropolis and its surrounding areas.

The project is expected to provide clean and safe drinking water to the people in the state,” the Director General (DG) of Press Affairs at the state government house, Ismaila Uba Misilli told Daily Sun.
