Global education, key driver of national economic growth, opportunity – Proconnect CEO, Elda Kehinde Samuel

The Global CEO of Proconnect, (A global education and global mobility FinTechCo.), Elda David Kehinde Samuel, has emphasized that global education opens doors-whether it’s working with blue-chip companies, launching innovative startups, or serving in government and the development sector.

He said this at the global press conference of the organization on Tuesday at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos, with the theme: “Investing in Global Education as a Catalyst for National Economic Growth.

According to him, the value of global education goes beyond mere financial benefits for individuals, as it enhances confidence, encourages innovation, and opens doors to greater opportunities.

He added that for nations, the return on investment is evident, as individuals with global education possess the skills, knowledge, and networks necessary to make significant contributions to national development.

Samuel said: “Our commitment to global education stems from the belief that it is a powerful equalizer. It provides Africans, and indeed all individuals from developing nations, with the tools to compete on a global scale. A global education opens doors-whether it’s working with blue-chip companies, launching innovative startups, or serving in government and the development sector.

“For individuals, the value of global education extends beyond financial gain-it builds confidence, fosters innovation, and provides access to opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach. And for nations, the return on investment is clear: individuals with global education are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and networks to contribute meaningfully to national development.

“Beyond personal and national growth, global education also has a direct impact on remittances. According to global migration statistics, 50% of individuals who acquire a global education return to their home countries, bringing with them valuable expertise.”

He disclosed that his organisation ProConnect, believes that global education is a powerful equalizer as it provides Africans and other individuals from developing nations with tools to compete on a global scale.

Samuel also stated that “At Proconnect, we offer two key pathways for accessing global education: an MBA or MSc in fields such as STEM, health and business.

“We specifically focus on bachelor’s and HND degree holders, and pursue commercially viable courses that guarantee employment in 17 countries”.

He further added that, “our impact will be measured by the number of candidates admitted to global programs and the amount of financing secured, including scholarships and loans.”

He continued stating that, “we advocate for purpose- driven migration that drives national economic development. We expect more than 50% of our candidates to return to Nigeria, bringing with them the knowledge, experience, and networks needed to transform our country. For those who remain abroad, their contributions to diaspora remittances will continue to strengthen our economy.”
