A global online platform, Global Clusters, has launched The Sparkhubs, which it said would serve as a vehicle for the emergence of 37 million and over one billion free digital literacy in Nigeria and Africa, respectively.
Global President, Global Clusters, Dr Adekunle Azeez Badmus, who made the disclosure, said the App is like a social media platform, which provides safe and structured empowerment spaces where young people gain practical skills, leadership values, mentorship and positive influence.
Speaking at the unveiling tagged, “Mega Launch,” at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Ikeja, Dr. Badmus said: “The Sparkhubs is a national movement to ignite skills, entrepreneurial capacity, and global competitiveness of 37 million Nigerian youths. Every nation that thrives does so because it deliberately prepares its youth not just for survival, but for service, leadership, and relevance. Where such preparation is absent, frustration grows. Where it is intentional, nations advance.”
He further disclosed the launch of another new App by Global Clusters, codenamed Project A.R.E, which translates to Agriculture, Real Estate and Export. He explained that the App opens inclusive economic pathways that enables youths to participate meaningfully in real value chains that create wealth, dignity, and national productivity.
“Agriculture defines humanity. Everything in life is a byproduct of agriculture. So why do we neglect it and want it to go into extinction? We have acquired massive parcels of land for agriculture, and we have set up A.R.E in every state of the federation for the project”, he said.
Earlier, Patron, The Global Clusters, Dr. Cary Goulston, delivered a keynote live from Florida, United States. He underlined the need for parents and teachers to guide the children and the youths to make the right choices in life, especially with the negative influences of social media.
“I’m delighted to support the Global Clusters with new knowledge and tools to help parents raise their children. Social media has captured the minds of young people -it can be beneficial and, also, can destroy the youths with its bad influences.
“Children are the future of the world; we need to invest in them -teach them good morals and protect them from negative things that can ruin their lives. The Global Clusters are here to make a better Africa and a better world”, he said.
Two books were launched at the event, which the Global President of the Global Clusters, Dr Badmus, recommended as vehicles for nation-building.
He described one of the books, Service and Sacrifice, written by a retired Army Warrant Officer (AWO), Victor Nnadi, as a compelling true-life account of courage, integrity, and leadership under fire. He said that the book serves as a reminder “that honour, even in uniform and under pressure, remains a cornerstone of national stability”.
The second book, “How to Brand Yourself and Your Business and Digital Dominance”, written by Dr. Daniel Ayodele, according to Dr. Badmus, seeks to “equip the youths with the mindset and tools required to thrive responsibly in today’s digital economy”.
Both authors spoke to the guests at the event live from the Republic of Turkiye, on what motivated them to write their books.
Dr. Michelle Ukoh, a Mind Surgeon and Dr. Badmus’ mentor, also spoke about her new book, Timeless, which she said will be available before the end of the year. She said the book contains 70 life-shaping truths designed to awaken the mind and stir the spirit.
The highlight of the event was the panel of discussion that featured Dr. Amos Fayehun, Prof. Chinedu Ogwus, and Barr. Temitope Emovon with Mr. Israel Bolaji as the moderator. They examined “The role of social media in nation building”.
While the panelists agreed that social media offers limitless opportunities for better life, they regretted that rather than explore such opportunities to make money, most youths go for the negative Apps in the social media, which introduce them to crime, violence, and other bad influences.
