Globacom, Nigeria’s digital solutions provider, has been commended for its support for the Great Benin GSM Village annual carnival recently held in Benin, Edo State. The company has a five-year sponsorship agreement with the association. Football games, award presentation, and awareness road walk were all part of the carnival’s 2023 schedule of events.

Globacom has been providing support to the association due to its key position in supplying Edo state’s and Benin’s citizens with telecoms support services. The Great GSM Village, which houses hundreds of ICT professionals engaged in the selling and maintenance of GSM devices and products as well as technical training, is the only such association in Benin City, Edo State, that is both recognised and registered.
Simon Ithime, Globacom’s regional sales manager for Mid-West, thanked the leadership and the entire Benin GSM Village for their cooperation and commitment to the collaboration with Globacom and urged them to continue.
The football games took place among the many GSM Village complexes.
Globacom awarded trophies and medals to the football competition’s various categories of winners.
Mr Mohammed Kensington, the chairman of the Great GSM Village in Benin, thanked Globacom for its years of steadfast support and partnership and prayed that the company would continue to make enormous progress.
