It was a night of glitz and glamour, as Heritage Bank recently hosted a private screening of Cut 24 Production’s political blockbuster, Code Wilo.
Held at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos, the evening of fun saw stars grace the red carpet in great style, with the theme of the event as ‘African Style Elegance’.
Top celebrities like Femi Odugbemi, Shaffy Bello, Yaw, Sophie Alakija, Efe Irele and many more stepped out in gorgeous dresses for the premiere. And they shone like a million stars.
Speaking on the movie, producer and director, Hauwa Allabura, expressed her delight in being able to explore her creative skills while telling a unique story.
“After my last movie, The Eve, I wanted to tell a story that is unique and relevant to the state of the country. One that beautifully explores the rich culture of our land and distinctively addresses the issues we are faced with,” she said.
Code Wilo is a story that touches on themes like pre-election violence, politics, and horrors caused by the powers-that-be in certain areas in the South-South pre-1999 democracy among others.
