Give back to society, Ajadi urges wealthy Nigerians

By Oluseye Ojo

As Nigerians celebrated the start of a new year, a prominent business tycoon and a governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has urged wealthy Nigerians to give back to society.

Speaking at a New Year get-together organised by his company, Bullion-Go-Neat Global Limited, Ajadi emphasised that one doesn’t need to be in government to make a positive impact.

“Leadership is about service to humanity. It’s about listening to the people, addressing their needs, and creating policies that improve lives, reduce hardship, and expand opportunities, especially for the youth and vulnerable.

“We at Bullion-Go-Neat Global have been organising get-together parties for our staff, their families, and the communities where we operate for the past 17 years. It’s about giving back to society,” Ajadi said.

He encouraged Nigerians to be hopeful and full of optimism, saying 2026 would be a better year.

Ajadi, who listed his plans for the state, promised to continue the good work of incumbent Governor Seyi Makinde beyond 2027.

“We will focus on education, health, infrastructure, and ensure civil servants and pensioners receive their salaries and benefits,” he said.

Ajadi also enjoined Nigerians to approach 2026 with optimism, tolerance, and mutual respect, stressing that unity remains Nigeria’s greatest strength despite economic and social challenges. He also called on party members, community leaders, and stakeholders to remain united and peaceful in their engagements.

The event featured performances by notable artists, including Alhaji Sulaimon Adio, Harcher, Tope Indomie, and DJ Dr. Step.
