FRSC mourns with Gov Mohammed over commissioner’s death

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed has commiserated with the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed over the death of the state’s Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ahmad Jalam in a ghastly road crash which occurred on Saturday, 1st June, 2024.

In his condolence message, the Corps Marshal expressed sadness over the incident, describing it as unfortunate.

He vowed to intensify the Safer Road campaign to avert such incidents in the future.

“The unfortunate incident is another sad reminder of the need for us at the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to increase the tempo of our campaign on the nation’s highways which the Corps is committed to doing,” he stated.

While praying for the repose of the soul of the deceased, the Corps’ Marshal further enjoins the Governor and people of Bauchi State to have the fortitude to bear the great and irreparable loss.

“We therefore pray Allah’s for forgiveness for his shortcomings while on the earth and for him to be granted Aljanah Firdaus,” the Corps Marshal added.

He reiterated the commitment of the FRSC to dealing with the menace of road traffic crashes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders at various levels.
