Former Lawmaker Distributes N5 Million to Appreciate Constituents for Supporting Governor Sule

In a show of appreciation to his constituents for their unwavering support towards Governor Sule, former lawmaker and present Special Adviser to governor Sule on political Affairs, Hon. Kassim Muhammed Kassim has distributed the sum of five million naira to members of his constituency, particularly in the five wards of Angwan Yara, Angwan Daria, Angwan Habu, Moro, and Gudi in Akwanga local government area of Nasarawa state.
During a distribution ceremony held yesterday in each of the wards of his constituency, Hon. Kassim emphasized that his gesture was not driven by political motives but rather a heartfelt gratitude towards the people who stood by him and the governor.
In his words, “I am not doing it for political gain or anything but to appreciate my wards and my people that stood firm to vote for Governor Sule.”
Highlighting the source of the funds, Hon. Kassim disclosed, “The governor appointed me as Special Adviser four months ago, and I have not touched the salary. I decided to put it together, amounting to 1.850 million naira, which I made up to five million to give back to my constituents.”
In addition to the monetary distribution, Hon. Kassim also extended a helping hand to students in the community by offering financial assistance. He announced, “I am also giving out 10 thousand naira to five students in the five wards to assist them in buying any school items.”
Expressing gratitude for the timely assistance, several beneficiaries shared their appreciation. Ahmed Adam Ahmed, a student at the Federal University, Lafia, Department of Statistics, emphasized the significance of the gesture, highlighting its potential to positively impact the academic journey of many.
Destiny Paul, hailing from Moro community of Akwanga and a student at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, echoed similar sentiments, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in fostering educational development within communities.
Yusuf Grace Mbangon, a student at the Isah Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic, Lafia, expressed surprise and gratitude, noting the profound impact the donation would have on his educational pursuits.
