Kano State Governor. Abba Kabir Yusuf has advised the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and his party to follow the right channel of communication to invite him to their party.
The Director General, Media and Publicity and spokesperson to the Governor, Sanusi Bature ,disclosed this on Friday while responding to the invitation by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.
According to Sanusi, who revealed that they read of their rival’s nvitation on the social media ,” We believe as a former Governor, he should know the right channel of communication if he truly wanted to pass information across to the Governor”.
” And as for whether the Governor will join APC, I can confirm to you that my boss has not decided to leave his party the NNPP for APC yet. Let me repeat, the Governor has not decided to joining APC for now”. Sanusi noted.
Speaking to the media soon after the party’s stakeholders meeting in the state on Thursday, Ganduje had invited the Governor of Kano State to decamp from his party to join the All Progressives Congress.
He had assured the Governor and his followers that they would be well recieved adding that an enabling environment had been created in the party for them to thrive politically as a family.
He noted that their defection to the All Progressives Congress would place the state in a formidable political position in the country as a swing state for the Presidency. adding that the objective is to build a one polizical party state with the All Progressives Congress as the sole party.
The invitation by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress may not be unconnected to the directive by President Tinubu, advising the warring political groups in the state to go settle their differences and fold into a single political platform in the state. .
