On December 24, 2025, Valerie Dogun presented her Floral Rhythms collection at Sunshine Fest 7.0, a four-day cultural festival in Ondo State known for its art, entertainment, performances, and competitions. Fashion was in the spotlight for a full day, as selected designers shared their creations with the public.
Industry experts in Ondo State curated the runway segment, choosing designers who showed strong professional quality and design discipline. Valerie’s spot at Sunshine Fest 7.0 gave Veekay Clothing a chance to reach a wider audience, moving the brand from private studio showings to a larger cultural stage.
Presented under her label Veekay Clothing, Floral Rhythms marks a move toward more refined daytime style. Showing the collection on the runway lets people see how the clothes move, highlighting their shape, fit, and how the fabrics respond in front of an audience.
The collection includes fitted off-the-shoulder black tops with high-waisted, flowing floral skirts. The mix of structured tops and loose skirts creates a balanced look. Floral patterns are arranged to draw the eye upward, making the outfits look longer but still soft.
The combination of stretch cotton tops and light skirts makes the clothes easy to move in, focusing on comfortable femininity instead of strict formality.
On the runway, the outfits kept their shape but still moved well. Simple details let the prints and proportions stand out, showing trust in clean design. The styling tied all the looks together, creating a unified style instead of separate outfits.
By showing at Sunshine Fest 7.0, Veekay Clothing is stepping into a more public role. The runway show shows the brand is ready for bigger fashion events and is becoming more confident in bringing studio work to a live audience.
Compared to her eveningwear and print-focused collections, Floral Rhythms shows Valerie Dogun’s growing range for different occasions while keeping her style consistent. This runway show supports her path toward a stronger place in modern Nigerian womenswear.
