FirstBank is set to host the fifth edition of its Agric and Export Expo on September 16 and 17, 2026, at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos, with stakeholders expected to focus on expanding Nigeria’s agricultural exports and strengthening the country’s position in global markets.
The two-day event, themed “From Farm to Global Markets: Building Nigeria’s Export Value Chain,” will bring together policymakers, regulators, agribusiness leaders, exporters, investors, development partners and other players in the agriculture and export sectors. The Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, is expected to deliver the keynote address and lead discussions on improving agricultural productivity and strengthening Nigeria’s food systems.
The expo will also feature governors Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State, Monday Okpebholo of Edo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State as special guests.
Other speakers include Olasunkanmi Owoyemi, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited; Taiwo Ayoade, Deputy Managing Director, Agro Traders Limited and Plantation Industries Limited; Sunil Kumar Chauhan, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Dangote Fertiliser Limited; and Ayodele Abioye, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, BUA Foods Plc. The conference is expected to examine emerging trends, market opportunities, financing options, technology-driven innovations and policy measures that could strengthen Nigeria’s agricultural and non-oil export sectors.
