Jos: First Lady mourns victims of school building collapse

The First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed deep sadness over the tragic school building collapse in Jos, Plateau State, which claimed the lives of students and teachers.

In a statement she signed, Tinubu said, “It is indeed sad to hear the news of the school building collapse in Jos, which claimed the lives of our innocent children and their teachers.”

She offered her heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Muftwang, the bereaved families, and the entire people of Plateau State, stating, “My heartfelt condolences go to the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Muftwang, the bereaved families, and the entire people of Plateau State.”

Mrs. Tinubu described the loss as “disheartening” and acknowledged that words are not enough to console the affected, but expressed hope that “God comforts you all and grants you the strength to bear the devastating loss.”

She concluded by praying for the souls of the deceased to “rest in perfect peace.”
