Ibadan summit

Land Republic Inc. has hosted the Ibadan Real Estate Summit, themed “Rise & Sell,” as part of its efforts to equip young Nigerians with practical skills and opportunities within the real estate industry.

The summit, held in Ibadan, brought together young people, real estate professionals, industry practitioners and aspiring realtors for a day of learning, networking and practical discussions on building sustainable careers in the property sector.

Speaking on the initiative, the Chief Executive Officer of Land Republic Inc., Dr. Victor Adegbile, said the summit was driven by a desire to contribute to the development of a more skilled and professional real estate workforce in Nigeria.

“For me, Rise & Sell was never just about hosting a real estate event. It was about pouring into people.

“I believe the future of the real estate industry will be shaped by people who are equipped, confident and bold enough to build differently. That is why creating platforms where the next generation can learn, ask questions, connect and see what is possible matters deeply to me,” he said.

Adegbile noted that while Nigeria continues to face significant youth unemployment, the real estate sector presents opportunities for young people who are willing to develop the right skills and uphold professional standards.

According to him, the industry needs more than people who can sell properties; it needs professionals who understand the market, build trust and can create long-term value for clients and communities.

The summit featured sessions and conversations focused on real estate sales, professional development, entrepreneurship, market opportunities and the practical realities of building a career in the industry.

The organisers said the event was designed to give participants access to knowledge and insights from practitioners with practical experience in the sector.

Reflecting on the turnout at the summit, Adegbile said the event reinforced his belief that there is a growing appetite among young Nigerians to learn and participate meaningfully in the real estate industry.

“Standing in that room filled with young people and professionals reminded me that there is still so much more to be done.

“There are more people to reach, more knowledge to share, more leaders to raise and more opportunities to create,” he stated.

He added that the summit forms part of Land Republic’s broader commitment to developing people who can contribute to the growth and transformation of Nigeria’s real estate sector.

“If we want a better industry tomorrow, we have to start by building better people today. The summit is only one step in a much bigger vision — building people who will go on to build the industry,” he stressed.

Land Republic Inc. is a Nigerian real estate company focused on creating opportunities across the property and real estate investment ecosystem while leveraging education, technology and professional development to improve participation in the sector.

The company said it intends to continue creating platforms that connect young Nigerians with knowledge, opportunities and industry professionals as part of its broader vision for the future of real estate in Nigeria.
