Firm empowers 100 women entrepreneurs for global takeoff

More than 100 Nigerian women entrepreneurs have been equipped with the tools, knowledge and global connections to scale their ventures following the completion of the FoundryforHER Bootcamp, a high-impact programme designed to accelerate women-led innovation and enterprise growth across emerging economies.

Organised in partnership with inDrive’s Aurora Tech Award and The Nest Innovation and Technology Park, the initiative brought together a diverse group of female founders from sectors including technology, fashion, agriculture, healthcare, and education. Participants engaged in immersive workshops, pitch training, and mentorship sessions focused on building investor-ready business models, accessing funding, and strengthening brand positioning for global expansion.

The bootcamp reflects the broader mission of the Aurora Tech Award, which recognises and supports women founders driving impactful technological innovation in emerging markets. This year’s edition focused on helping Nigerian entrepreneurs refine their value propositions, improve storytelling for investment, and scale their ventures beyond local markets.

For participants like Edwina Abah, the experience was transformative.

“From storytelling to structure, every session reshaped how I think about building and communicating as a founder,” she said. “Our stories, systems, and structures must work together, that’s how we build ventures that inspire belief and attract opportunity.”

Another participant, Zusi Inegbeniki, Founder of FoundexAI, described the programme as empowering and practical.

“The past few days have been empowering, educational, and exciting. There was so much strength in the community, and so much real value gained from learning how to pitch and communicate our message, to developing fundraising strategies and refining our personal branding,” she noted.

To sustain the momentum from the bootcamp, a two-week post-programme mentorship has been launched, connecting participants with established leaders such as Folake Owodunni, Founder of Emergency Response Africa. Owodunni, known for her work in digital health and entrepreneurship, will guide participants on scaling sustainably and leading through impact.

The FoundryforHER Bootcamp marks another milestone in strengthening Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem, advancing the inclusion of women entrepreneurs in high-growth sectors, and positioning them as active contributors to global innovation and trade.
