Organised Labour has directed all workers under the Joint Union Action Committee (JUAC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to immediately resume work, following a conciliatory meeting with the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike.
The directive was contained in a circular dated February 3, 2026, and jointly signed by the Secretary General of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), Nuhu Toro and the acting General Secretary of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Benson Upah.
According to the circular, the meeting, convened at the instance of the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the FCT, Senator Mohammed Bomoi, commenced at 11:45pm and ended at 3:51am after what was described as extensive and frank deliberations.
Labour said all complaints presented by JUAC members were taken one after the other and fully addressed during the meeting.

The unions also disclosed that the FCT minister assured organised labour of mutual respect and sustained engagement, going forward.
It was further agreed that no worker would be victimised in any form as a result of the recent strike action, while all outstanding cases at the National Industrial Court (NIC) would be withdrawn immediately.
